Basically, you must conform to the Food Act 1981 http://www.legislation.govt.nz) and associated regulations.

For cheese this means: the Milk and Milk Products Processing Standards available at http://www.nzfsa.govt.nz/policy-law/legislation/food-standards/index.htm and the Prescribed Food standards which include soft cheese as a risk list food (http://www.nzfsa.govt.nz/imported-food/high-risk/index.htm and
http://www.nzfsa.govt.nz/imported-food/high-risk/01softcheesenf.htm).

You will also need to conform to the labelling and composition requirements at http://www.nzfsa.govt.nz/labelling-composition/index.htm. Food for sale in New Zealand must be clearly labelled in English.
